The largest ceramic sculpture  is  "Birds Flying  Over."










The Mixtec mosaic-style ceramic piece may represent Tlaloc. The Mixtecs lived centuries ago on the Pacific coast of Mexico, and were one of the peoples conquered by the Aztecs.

Cub Creek Snapping Turtle

The Dove is  an early piece done at the Maranantha Studio in the 1990s. The tiles next to her are from Talavera, Mexico, and were brought back from a trip in the early 1970s.


Turtle is life-sized. Part of his shell can be removed, giving you a lovely place to put a plant or to hide something inside.
